College Sports
March Madness!!! Need I say more? I love it. I will watch any game that is broadcast. I don't care who the team is. There are two schools that I am partial to--Georgia Tech and the University of Minnesota. Neither of these teams made it into the tournament this year so I just pick another team, usually the underdog, and cheer for them. The reason I like college sports is because the players seem to play with heart. They do their awesome best but still play with abandon so much so that they sometimes make silly errors and just hope and pray that they don't get noticed by the referees. And when they do, they accept it. No outrageous arguments. No divas. When they loose, they bury their heads under towels or sink to the floor, shoulders shaking. I want to jump through the TV and hug every one of them. I would make a great team Mama. I don't follow the pros. As far as I'm concerned the Super Bowl was meant to showcase advertisements. That's why I watch it. Pro basketball bores me. The players may be good but they seem rather egotistical. And way overpaid. I do follow major league baseball with the Minnesota Twins being my team of choice. Nascar racing is sorta fun to watch on TV. Extremely expensive cars getting torn up and miraculously put together and repainted in outrageous color schemes in a weeks time. Amazing. And I do watch cycling. Car races without the cars. Going in circles. Extreme athletes. Tactics at work. Spectacular crashes. Not so pretty. Ode to joy at the finish line. But that's it. Give me college sports any day. I want to see spirit. I want to see unbridled joy. I want to see heart.
