the sound of sleet

Yes, it gets cold in Mississippi.  It's February.  It's to be expected.  This morning's rain turned to sleet by midday.  I could hear the subtle change in the sound of the rain-to-sleet tapping on the sidewalk just outside the window. The best part about falling sleet is the sound it makes when it lands.  It makes a tinkling sound when it falls and a crunchy sound when it is stepped on.  Two fold sound effects.  I really like it.
