helping a friend

There is an elderly couple from my church that I have gotten to know over the years and they are about to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary.  Yesterday I went over to their house to help clean up their front yard.  They are having family members visit this weekend from out of the area and several of us thought it would be nice to fix the landscaping in the front of the house.  After the weeds were pulled and the bushes were trimmed, we put down fresh cypress mulch just to "dress up" the area.  As we stood back and surveyed our completed work, we were pleased with what we saw.  But, mainly, we were happy to do this for this wonderful couple who have lived in matrimony for so many years.  Here's to you Dan and Edna.  Here's to you!
