Double Boom

Yesterday afternoon at a little after 3pm I heard a very loud boom followed by another boom which startled me and made me glance toward the window to see what was wrong in the neighborhood. But just as I went to the window, I realized it was a double sonic boom and the space shuttle must be about to land. I turned on the TV and I was right. At 3:15pm the space shuttle Discovery landed at Cape Canaveral. Safely. A beautiful sight. And so what went up a week ago in a beautiful twilight launch came back in full sunlight. Another successful journey. Hooray!
