35

My goodness how time flies. My firstborn turns thirty five today. I remember that day well. It was unseasonably hot for this time of year in Pennsylvania. Jules and I were racing up the highway connecting York to Harrisburg in our gold colored Datsun pickup truck. "Hold the bouncing, please!" said I. "I'm trying." said he. Hospital labor was only two hours, thank goodness. I moaned a little too loudly for one nurse and I was told to "keep it down". Not a nice thing to hear. I heard a very loud popping sound like a champagne cork exploding from a bottle followed by the gush and it was "game on". Jason was born shortly thereafter. In those ancient days parents generally didn't know whether the new baby was going to be a boy or a girl. Two nights prior to the birth we watched a classic movie on TV about the search for the golden fleece and in honor of the hero we decided to name our son Jason. We liked the name. We loved the baby. And that was that. Happy birthday, Jason. Love, Mom xoxoxo
