Jeremiah 19:1-31:9

This morning I read from the book of Jeremiah, the prophet. Everything I read came from the words given to Jeremiah from God concerning what was to come. Nearly every passage began with the words "Thus saith the Lord". Babylon was a powerful country at this time and Nebuchadnezzar was king. Exiles from Jerusalem were living in Babylon and Jerusalem was not in good favor. However Jeremiah prophesied that one day Jerusalem would again fall into good favor and he spoke of the coming savior. (I have a son named Jeremy, a derivative of Jeremiah. I just thought I'd add that.) And then, before I knew it, my reading time was over.
