Hot Cross Buns

I popped in to Publix the other day for dog biscuits and cottage cheese (whatever) and the aroma of freshly baked bread caught my nasal attention. Oh, yeah. Fresh baked bread. I immediately walked over to the bakery section to see what was going on and THERE THEY WERE!!! Fresh from the oven. Piping HOT hot cross buns. Oh, yummy. My golden crusted, fruit filled Easter treat with the frosting cross on top. "They'll be ready in about fifteen minutes." said the baker boy. "I'll be back!" said I. I roamed the isles of the store just biding my time. Fifteen minutes later and BINGO! There they were. Neatly stacked packages of hot cross buns, still warm, lining the shelf. I bought a package (just one) and went home and ate three buns for dinner. With butter.
