Sandy and Jason

Sandy and Jason got married. The wedding took place a week ago on November 14th in Bourne, Texas. It was a beautiful ceremony for two very loving people. They were meant to be together. Sandy and Jason waited a long time to find each other. They met almost five years ago and through the natural progression of first being acquaintances, then friends, then dating and then falling in love, they made their commitments to each other in a lovely wedding ceremony overlooking the Guadeloupe River in the presence of those that meant the most to them. And I was there. I was there to see my wonderful son make his vows to his beloved. And I was privileged to be there many years earlier on the day he was born, blessed to be his mother. He didn't cry at birth. He just took the whole experience in stride, eyes wide open. He was always mature for his age and very independent. He insisted on walking the boardwalk at Ocean City, Maryland by himself when he was two, only occasionally glancing back to see his parents following him. He was able to check us in at the airport while I parked the car when he was eight. He became a list maker and thoroughly researched potential colleges according to cost, major rankings and locations when he was sixteen. And he and I drove from Mississippi to Ohio and all points in between to check out all of the schools on his list. My little boy was growing up. So, Jason, who planned everything, fell in love with Sandy. Divine plan, I believe. Jason brings a sense of order and warm, loving security to the marriage and Sandy will generously shower him with all the girly-girl tenderness that is needed to make their life together sunny and bright. And the universe, as I see it, is smiling. To Sandy and Jason. Cheers!
